The program covers five core competencies essential for algorithm audits. It combines flexible frameworks with practical experience to prepare entry-level auditors for audit teams and roles in responsible AI, governance, and risk management.

The core courses, recommended in the following order, are:

Algorithmic Risk & Impact Assessments
AI Governance & Risk Management
Algorithms, AI, & Machine Learning
Bias, Accuracy, & the Statistics of AI Testing
Algorithm Auditing & Assurance

Capstone Project: The Capstone Project combines key exercises from all five courses. It challenges participants to apply their knowledge in AI technologies, risk assessment, governance, bias testing, and auditing. Completion demonstrates the skills needed to assess and ensure compliance and ethical standards for AI systems.

Certification Exam: 40-question case-study-based exam (multiple choice & short answer), carried out online via Zoom. Most of the content is non-technical, but some technical questions will cover topics from the Algorithms, AI & Machine Learning and Bias, Accuracy & the Statistics of AI Testing courses.

Certification Maintenance:
- Annual refresher exam on AI governance and audits
- 20 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) yearly

1. How is the exam structured?
The exam includes case studies with multiple choice and short-answer questions. It is proctored via Zoom and offered monthly.
