This one-day training course (7 hours, including 6 hours of teaching and 1 hour of assessment) enables participants to develop practical skills in risk management and workplace risk assessment. Developed jointly by NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), this course follows the HSE’s regulatory and methodical approach to controlling risks associated with workplace hazards.

Identify hazards and know how to refer to appropriate resources for guidance.
Assess risks in low- to medium-risk premises.
Evaluate risks in a proportionate and sensible manner.
Identify and implement suitable control measures.

This course is intended for anyone responsible for managing workplace health and safety risks and carrying out risk assessments, including:

Employers and managers
Supervisors
Health and Safety officers and representatives (HSE Champions and HSE representatives)
Staff members involved in safety

No specific prerequisites are required.

A good level of English is recommended for the English version.

Assessment / Examination:

Practical Assessment: Completion of a case study to identify various hazards, assess risks, and propose corrective measures according to best practices
Results are typically communicated within 24 working days of the assessment
Upon successful completion, the certificate is usually sent within 40 working days
